Module 3


In car training

Part 3 training will be conducted in car over 3 consecutive days, 8:00am to 4:00pm daily,  training may  be conducted at a ratio of no more than 2:1.  Breaks have been scheduled into the training day and will culminate in an in car assessment of basic skills focussing on controls, pulling away and stopping on the left and basic junctions.  The final assessment must be passed before progressing onto application for continued training on a "pink" DVSA Potential Driving Instructor's licence. 


Once this phase of your training has been completed you will be allowed to apply for a Potential Driving Instructor Licence.  This will allow you to charge students as you continue to train toward the final Part 3 test.  During the first 12 weeks it is important to complete an additional 20 hours training, a guide to this can be found on the Part 3 PDI Training Page.
